About this exercise
"Horizontal scissors" targets the Ẹsẹ̀ muscle group, suitable for beginners. The main load falls on: Abs, Quadriceps, Glutes. Equipment needed: Bodyweight.
Description
An exercise to strengthen the abdominal muscles, especially the lower abdomen and hip flexor muscles. It is performed lying on your back with straight legs, which alternately move to the sides, imitating the movement of scissors. The exercise develops the endurance of the core muscles, improves body stability and movement control.
Instructions
Starting position: Lie on your back on the floor. Stretch out your legs and lift them about 10-20 cm off the floor. Place your arms along your body or put them under your pelvis for additional support. Press your lower back to the floor and tighten your abdominal muscles. Accomplishment: Spread your straight legs apart. Smoothly bring them towards each other, slightly crossing them. Spread your legs apart again. Alternate the position of the legs: one leg passes from above, then the other. Perform the movement smoothly, keeping your legs straight and not touching the floor.
