"V-sitting on the floor" targets the Core muscle group, suitable for beginners. The main load falls on: Abs, Quadriceps. Equipment needed: Bodyweight.
Description
An exercise to strengthen the muscles of the core, abs and hip flexors. It is performed in a sitting position with straight legs raised and holding the body in the shape of the letter "V", balancing on the buttocks. The exercise develops strength, balance, body stability and movement control.
Instructions
Starting position: Sit on the floor, straighten your back. Stretch your legs forward. Tilt the body back slightly. Lift your straight legs off the floor. Keep your arms extended forward or along the body. Tighten your abdominal muscles and keep your body in the shape of the letter "V". Accomplishment: Maintain your position by keeping your legs and body off the floor. Don't hold your breath — breathe calmly and evenly. Try to keep your back as straight as possible without rounding your lower back. Hold the position for a set amount of time. To complete the exercise, slowly lower your legs and body to the floor.
