Cobra Push-ups
About this exercise
"Cobra Push-ups" targets the Àyà muscle group, suitable for beginners. The main load falls on: Front, Middle, Triceps. Equipment needed: Bodyweight.
Description
An exercise combining a push-up with a back arch at the top of the movement. It strengthens the muscles of the chest, shoulders, triceps and core, as well as improves the mobility of the spine, stretches the abdominal muscles and promotes flexibility.
Instructions
Starting position: Stand at point blank range, palms slightly wider than shoulders. Keep your legs straight and your feet on your toes. Tighten your abs and buttocks, keep your body in a straight line. Keep your elbows pointing back and slightly to the sides. Accomplishment: Bend your arms and lower your chest almost to the floor. From the bottom point, begin to straighten your arms, simultaneously lifting your chest and upper body up. The pelvis and legs remain as close to the floor as possible. At the top, gently straighten your arms and open your chest. Do not tilt your head back and do not allow a sharp deflection in the lower back. Smoothly return to the starting position and repeat.
