About this exercise

"Superman Push-ups" targets the Core muscle group, suitable for beginners. The main load falls on: Middle, Triceps, Abs. Equipment needed: Bodyweight.

Description

An advanced variation of push-ups, in which the body lifts off the floor for a short moment, and the arms and legs stretch forward, simulating the flight of Superman. The exercise develops explosive strength, strengthens the chest, shoulders, triceps, core and back muscles, and improves coordination and reaction speed.

Instructions

Starting position: Get into a high bar position with your palms under your shoulders. Keep your legs straight and your feet on your toes. Keep your body in a straight line from head to heels. Tighten your abs and buttocks. Accomplishment: Bend your elbows and lower yourself down, as in a regular push-up. At the bottom point, straighten your arms in a controlled manner and at the same time extend one arm forward, keeping the body stable. Put your hand back in place. Repeat the movement, extending your other arm forward. Alternate your arms without turning your pelvis and shoulders.
